About The Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Java Software Engineer to join our dynamic development team.
In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining our critical consumer lending applications.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a university degree in (business) informatics or a comparable qualification, along with extensive professional experience in Java software development, ideally exceeding ten years.
You should have in-depth knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices, and software architecture principles.
Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps methodologies, automated testing, monitoring, and observability is essential.
Familiarity with Domain-Driven Design, Event-Driven Architectures, or Kafka is advantageous.
You must demonstrate a high quality standard, ownership mentality, and strong teamwork skills.
Experience working in regulated environments such as banking, finance, or insurance is preferred.
Excellent communication skills in both German and English are required to effectively collaborate within our international teams.
Responsibilities
As a key member of our engineering team, you will develop, maintain, and optimize our mission-critical Java applications within the consumer lending sector.
Your responsibilities include designing and implementing new features end-to-end, from concept to production deployment, ensuring they deliver tangible value to our customers.
You will work closely with product owners, architects, and cross-functional teams to identify the best technical solutions, participate in strategic technology discussions, and contribute to the long-term platform architecture.
Ensuring that our solutions are scalable, secure, maintainable, and resilient is a core part of your role.
You will proactively promote quality through automated testing, continuous integration and deployment, monitoring, and adherence to best practices.
Additionally, you will take responsibility for security, stability, and regulatory compliance in the operational environment.
Teamwork and knowledge sharing are vital; you will coach colleagues and exchange expertise to foster a collaborative and innovative work culture.
