Senior .NET Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with strong experience across the Microsoft Azure ecosystem to join a team delivering enterprise-scale applications and cloud solutions. This role is ideal for someone with a strong .NET engineering background who has moved beyond traditional application development and is comfortable designing, building and integrating solutions within Azure environments. The focus is not on DevOps tooling or pipeline management. We are looking for an engineer who understands how applications, cloud services, integrations, data and emerging AI capabilities come together to solve complex business problems. You will work closely with architects, engineers and business stakeholders to design and deliver secure, scalable and modern solutions using the Microsoft technology stack. Key Responsibilities Design, develop and enhance enterprise applications using C#/.NET and Microsoft Azure services. Build cloud-native solutions and integrations using Azure services including Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Azure Data Factory and API-based integration patterns. Design and implement solutions leveraging Azure AI services and automation capabilities. Work with architects and technical teams to translate business requirements into practical, scalable solutions. Contribute across the full software development lifecycle including solution design, development, testing, deployment and ongoing optimisation. Develop secure and reliable applications aligned with enterprise architecture and engineering standards. Troubleshoot, optimise and enhance existing Azure-hosted applications and integrations. Identify opportunities to improve platforms, engineering practices and application capabilities. Produce technical documentation and contribute to development standards. Required Experience & Technical Skills 5+ years' experience as a Software Engineer, Senior .NET Developer or similar role delivering enterprise applications. Strong hands-on experience developing solutions within Microsoft Azure environments. Deep experience with C# and .NET application development. Commercial experience working with Azure services including: Azure Functions Azure Logic Apps Azure Data Factory Azure APIs and integration services Microsoft Azure AI services Ability to design and implement Azure solutions beyond DevOps, CI/CD and infrastructure management. Experience integrating AI capabilities and automation into enterprise applications. Strong database experience across SQL and/or NoSQL platforms, including data modelling, optimisation and performance tuning. Experience with modern engineering practices including source control, CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments.
