Java Backend Developer

Our core areas: ➡Quantitative Finance ➡Risk & Compliance ➡Operations & Finance ➡Transformation & Organization ➡ Information Systems. 🔎 We are looking for a Java Backend Developer Main Tasks Develop and maintain backend applications using Java 8+.Design, implement and optimize scalable and reliable solutions.Work with Hadoop technologies, including Spark and Hive, for data processing.Collaborate with cross-functional teams following Agile methodologies.Develop and maintain unit tests to ensure software quality.Participate in code reviews and contribute to best development practices.Work with relational databases to develop efficient data solutions.Support application deployment and continuous integration activities.Troubleshoot, debug and resolve technical issues.Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and technical solutions. Main Skills & Requirements Degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology or a related field.3–6 years of professional experience developing backend applications with Java 8 or above.Experience working in Linux environments.Strong knowledge of JUnit, Maven and Git.Experience with the Hadoop ecosystem, including Spark and Hive.Good understanding of relational databases.Strong analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills.Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.Good communication skills in both Portuguese and English (minimum B2 level).Nice to have Experience with Spring Boot.Knowledge of React.Agile development experience.DevOps mindset.Knowledge of Perl.Experience with Jenkins or other CI/CD tools.French language skills. 🎁 WHAT WE OFFER This role offers a gross annual salary between 24.500€ to 60.500€, defined according to the candidate’s experience and competencies.Permanent contract (CTI).Meal allowance.Health Insurance.Extra holiday: Christmas Eve or New Year’s Eve.Access to Quanteam Academy for continuous learning and certifications.Elevate Program to support professional development and career growth.Career progression plan.Ongoing follow-up and technical support provided by a Consultant Expert. 📍 Hybrid position based in Porto 🚀If you feel this opportunity is for you, send your CV and join our team!
