Job Description Your Team We're looking for a talented Developer to join our growing team in Makati City, Philippines. In this role, you'll work alongside experienced engineers and business analysts in a collaborative, agile environment where innovation and quality are paramount. You'll have the opportunity to design, develop, and maintain robust solutions while continuously improving your technical skill set and contributing to meaningful projects that impact our customers globally. Collaborate closely with team leads, product owners, business analysts, and fellow developers to deliver high-quality software solutionsDesign and develop scalable, maintainable code that adheres to best practices and architectural standardsWrite comprehensive solution designs for new features and participate in code reviews with technical leadsDevelop and maintain automated tests to ensure code quality and system reliabilityParticipate in client workshops and requirements analysis sessions to understand business needsOptimize and improve existing functionalities to enhance performance and user experienceTake ownership of assigned projects and demonstrate accountability for your area of expertiseWork effectively within an agile framework, utilizing ticketing platforms and collaborative toolsDocument code and technical solutions clearly for team knowledge sharingContribute to continuous improvement initiatives and share knowledge with team members Qualifications Minimum 5 years of proven experience in software development or a related engineering roleStrong programming knowledge with proficiency in one or more languages (Java, Python, C++, or similar)Solid understanding of database technologies and SQLExperience with version control systems (Git or similar)Demonstrated ability to write clean, well-documented code and design thoughtful solutionsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured approach to complex technical challengesExperience working in agile environments and familiarity with agile methodologiesExcellent communication and collaborative skills with the ability to work effectively in team settingsDetail-oriented mindset with a commitment to quality assurance and testing practices It would be a real bonus if you have University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related disciplineExperience in the financial services industry or treasury domainKnowledge of industry-specific standards such as FIX protocol, SWIFT MT, or ISO 20022Familiarity with specialized platforms or tools relevant to your domainExperience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practicesProficiency in additional programming languages or frameworksMultilingual capabilities (additional languages are a plus)Track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within scope Additional Information We realize that managing work life balance is a challenge we all face in our daily lives and in order to support with this we are pleased to offer hybrid and flexible working for most of our Avaloqers to maintain work life balance and still continue our fantastic Avaloq culture in our global offices.
