About The Role As a Full Stack Engineer (Python + React), you’ll be a foundational member of a new product team, building high-quality software from the ground up. You’ll own complex features across the database, backend, and user interface while collaborating with product managers and senior engineers to shape architecture and bring the product vision to life. Responsibilities Build maintainable backend services and APIs in Python and modern user experiences in React, with a balanced focus across the stackCollaborate with Staff Engineers and Product Managers to define and refine the architecture of a new productOwn the design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of features from concept through productionWrite comprehensive unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure code quality and system reliabilityTranslate business needs and product requirements into scalable technical solutionsIdentify technical challenges proactively and drive practical solutions with minimal oversightContribute to architecture decisions, engineering standards, and development best practicesAdapt to changing priorities and deliver effectively in a fast-paced, agile environmentCommunicate complex technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholdersOther duties as assigned About You Qualifications & Skills 8+ years of professional software development experience building complex, large-scale applications; 14+ years preferred3+ years of professional Python experience building production-grade APIs and backend services3+ years of professional React experience, including strong knowledge of modern frameworks, state management, UI libraries, and testing toolsDemonstrated ability to build and own full-stack features from database design through frontend implementationStrong commitment to comprehensive unit, integration, and end-to-end testingProactive, self-directed, and solutions-oriented approach with a strong “gets-it-done” mindsetAbility to thrive in ambiguous, fast-moving environments and solve complex problems independentlyExcellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical ideas to diverse audiencesExperience leading or co-leading system architecture decisions preferredExperience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or DynamoDB preferredHands-on experience with Docker and CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions or Jenkins preferredProfessional Node.js experience preferredMonks Technology Services does not discriminate on the basis of race, sex, color, religion, age, national origin, marital status, disability, veteran status About Monks Monks is the global, digital-first, data-driven, unitary operating brand of S4 Capital plc.
