Our All and locations offices invite applicants for the position of: Software Engineer II – DevOps Harmonic is one of the largest independent fund administrators, delivering a range of services and technology to private debt, hedge funds, fund of funds, private equity funds, private banks, pension funds and family offices. Harmonic is service oriented and technology intensive providing comprehensive services and software that include operations outsourcing, custom development and technology for global investment managers. Job Summary The Software Engineer II – DevOps is responsible to for building and maintaining continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD) processes to ensure software systems are built, tested, and deployed in secure, reliable, and reproducible ways. This role involves working closely with the development teams and IT infrastructure teams to agree system deployment parameters, diagnose issues, and monitor system capacity. This role will also be responsible for helping users and testers diagnose issues in the different application environments. Essential Functions General Responsibilities Understands business requirements and assists with management of technical solutions to satisfy those need.Works closely with other members of the development team to envision, design, and implement long term architecturesWorking with development and IT teams to troubleshoot and fix infrastructure issues across a suite of applications on the .NET platform.Working with development and QA teams to develop application modules in C# to enhance management, logging, and monitoring functionality Job Qualifications Qualifications: A college or university graduate with Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent qualificationKnowledge: An understanding of alternative investment products and the offshore financial services industry, including system technology, portfolio valuation, accounting, share transfer and registration, prime brokerage, financing, and custody, and the ability to apply the knowledge to support role functions would be beneficialExperience: 2+ years of experience working in a similar role in the financial services industry. Experience must be related to business and include working on an international diversified team Technical Requirements Outstanding working knowledge of all Windows applications including Excel to an advanced levelFreshService – advancedExperience with financial markets trading and accounting platformsTechnical proficiency in Microsoft .NET Framework, C#, SQL Server, IISExperience maintaining large applications across entire Microsoft.NET stack: knowledge of C# language, SQL Server, IIS, ASP.NET MVC and WinFormsKnowledge of PowerShell, MSBuild, and NUnitKnowledge of basic system administration concepts in a Microsoft Windows domain: user groups and permissionsKnowledge of common network protocols. (TCP/IP, HTTP(S) and DNS)Knowlege of common networking concepts. (Firewalls, NAT, Subnetting, VPC, VPNs)Knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud architecture.Knowledge of virtual systems and computer resourcesKnowledge of UNIX/Linux based systems.Experience working with Docker containers, Kubermetes and Helm chartsKnowledge of Azure DevOps.Experience using source control systems: GitExperience deploying .NET and web applications to IIS-hosted Windows environments, including deployment configuration and troubleshooting.Working knowledge of XML for application configuration, deployment, and integration-related tasks.Familiarity with GitHub Advanced Security and secure development practices, including code-scanning concepts and the interpretation and remediation of findings.Understanding of data-security principles for personally identifiable information (PII), including data classification, protection, and anonymization processesExperience implementing infrastructure as code with Bicep, including reusable modules and environment-specific deployment parameters.Knowledge of Azure Key Vault, managed identities, role-based access control (RBAC), and secure secrets and certificate management.Experience designing and maintaining Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines, including YAML-based definitions, artifact management, and multi-environment releases.Experience implementing application observability with Azure Application Insights, including telemetry, logging, alerting, and deployment diagnostics.Outstanding knowledge of computer and system security.Experience with CSLA.NET framework is a plus Terms Full-Time RoleThis is not a hybrid role – attendance is required full time on-site at our Cayman, Dublin, London or Toronto office Compensation commensurate with qualifications and experience
