We're a funded startup experiencing explosive growth, looking for a backend engineer to help scale our infrastructure as we redefine personal computing in the cloud. What You'll Do: Build and optimize backend systems that will power millions of personal cloud computers Scale and improve our backend APIs for auth, storage, AI, database, serverless compute, and moreImprove stability and resiliency to achieve 99.99% availability and beyondShave off milliseconds in response timesDesign impeccable APIs and SDKs to provide the most developer-friendly experience in the world Requirements: 7+ years of backend development experienceExperience building and contributing to open-source projectsDeep understanding of distributed systems and database architecturesStrong expertise in Node.jsStrong production experience with AWS, Cloudflare, and Terraform Nice-to-haves: Experience with cost management on AWS (provisioning, spot instances, prepayment plans, ...)Knowledge of observability and telemetry tools and platforms and logging best practices (OTel, Grafana, CloudWatch, Logz, etc) Compensation: $140,000 - $200,000 + equity + benefitsPay is influenced by various considerations and can fluctuate according to position-specific qualifications, competencies, and work history
