As part of Northern Trust’s Global Threat Technology team, the Azure Automation Engineer will be responsible for delivering AI-enabled engineering solutions, cyber automation capabilities, and DevSecOps transformation initiatives within the Security Operations environment. The engineer will also support our Azure security engineering and cloud infrastructure, ensuring stability and adherence to governance. Responsibilities Build and operationalize AI agents and intelligent automation tooling.Automate cloud deployments, including network, storage, compute, and monitoring resources.Hands on experience and implementing scalable log ingestion and data pipeline solutions, including migration and onboarding of complex , different data sources across security platform.Drive the adoption of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) frameworks and best practices using tools such as Terraform, ARM TemplatesImplement CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment, testing, and management of infrastructure.Mentor and guide junior engineers in Azure best practices, IaC, and cloud architecture design.Design and implement robust security practices and policies in line with Azure’s security standards (e.g., Azure Security Center, Key Vault, etc.). Experience\Qualifications Proven hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and managing Azure cloud infrastructure.Experience with architecting, designing and building AI Agents.Expertise in Azure services including Compute, Networking, Storage, Security, and Monitoring.Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, ARM Templates.Proven experience in setting up CI/CD pipelines for cloud-based infrastructure deployments.Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). Skills & Competencies Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.Ability to adapt to changing requirements in a fast-paced environment.Proactive approach to continuous learning and self-improvement.Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools like Git, Ansible, or Docker.Experience with containerization and Kubernetes within Azure (AKS).
