Description

The ASAP Developer / Consultant will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of Oracle Advanced Service Activation Platform (ASAP) solutions to support network provisioning and service activation. The role focuses on ensuring customer orders are accurately translated into network services through reliable activation, rollback, and error-handling processes while enabling seamless integration with Oracle OSM and UIM. The ideal candidate will have 4–7 years of hands-on experience with Oracle ASAP or telecom service activation and provisioning. Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain Oracle ASAP Network Element Adapters (NEAs), Service Descriptors, Cartridge Bridge components, and service activation flows using Oracle Design Studio.Build and support integrations between Oracle ASAP, OSM, and UIM to enable seamless order-to-activation processes.Troubleshoot activation failures, perform root cause analysis in collaboration with network teams, and implement timely resolutions.Support activation testing for new network elements and service definitions while assisting with production releases and hypercare activities.Prepare and maintain activation runbooks and technical documentation to support ongoing operations and maintenance. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.4–7 years of hands-on experience with Oracle ASAP or telecom service activation and provisioning.Strong knowledge of Oracle ASAP Design Studio, Network Element Adapter (NEA) development, Service Descriptors, and Cartridge Bridge configuration.Experience with TCL and/or Java scripting for NEA development, Oracle Database, SQL, and OSM-to-ASAP integration patterns.Good understanding of network provisioning and service activation protocols across telecommunications environments.Experience with Oracle RODOD-based BSS/OSS stacks, multi-vendor network service activation, or Oracle AIA/SOA Suite for cross-system integration is an added advantage.
