We provide services to major international clients and consumers across a wide range of industries, including retail, finance, travel, telco and FINTECH. We are looking for a Java Software Engineer, to be a member of the PayTech Team. YOUR ROLE Reporting to Team Leader, the Java Software Engineer would be responsible to: Develop and test of stories in adherence to PayTech professional development standards and proceduresSupport other areas of PPS who have questions and queries on the software platformDeliver sprints on timeContributing to Sprint refinement, planning and delivering own stories on timeIdentify and escalate blockers/critical issuesDiscussing operational aspects with relevant departmentsDrive effective resolution of issues as they ariseFollow company policy and proceduresActively support the team, QA and DevOps engineersKeep tickets and associated documentation up-to-dateProvide progress feedback to team YOUR PROFILE Experience Java web application development expertise with 3+ years’ experienceProven experience in designing and implementing solutions from concept through implementationBachelor’s degree in computer science or similarCertifications such as AWS Practitioner would be a plus Knowledge and Skills Proficient in developing microservices solutions based on Spring BootStrong experience in designing and implementing REST webservices, and integrating with API gatewaysStrong capabilities in databases design, database modelling, SQL coding; especially in cloud environmentsDemonstrated experience in container technologies (Docker or Kubernetes)Experience in cloud environments like AWS or AzureExperience in corresponding tools like Git or Subversion…Practical experience in Agile frameworks (Scrum) and tools (JIRA) International experience or working in international projects is a strong plusAbility to work in a team (local or remote) and self-motivationExcellent problem-solving skills, ability to make decisions under pressure.Strong in communication and organization, be able to prioritize task and re-prioritize constantlyFluent spoken and written English VIBE WITH US Joining us means: Taking part in an ambitious corporate projectBecoming part of a team that embraced the digitalization challenge and enjoys this transformation every dayLiving our values every day: passions for customers, respect, imagination, simplicity, entrepreneurial spirit.
