UX/UI Front-End Engineer

UX/UI Front-End Engineer (5 to 8 yrs+) Toronto, ON - Hybrid (4 Days WFO) 6-12 months Key Responsibilities 1.Design user-centered interfaces and experiences for web applications 2.Develop responsive| interactive UI components using React and modern web technologies 3.Strong fundamentals in state management and performance optimization 4.Component design systems: Building reusable and scalable UI libraries. 5.Storybook: Isolated component development and documentation. 6.Collaborate with product managers| stakeholders| and backend teams to translate requirements into functional designs 7.Proficiency in Figma| Sketch| or other modern UI/UX design and prototyping tools 8.Strong understanding of user-centered design (UCD)| design systems| wireframing| prototyping| and interaction design best practices 9.Conduct user research and usability testing to validate design decisions 10.Implement accessibility best practices including WCAG compliance 11.Optimize UI performance and ensure cross-browser compatibility 12.Maintain design systems and component libraries 13.Document design specifications and development standards Required Qualifications 1. 8+ years of experience in UX/UI design and front-end development 2.Proficiency in React| TypeScript| Redux| Tanstack| Component Design| state management and performance optimization. 3.Strong portfolio demonstrating UX design and UI development work 4.Experience with design tools (Figma| Adobe XD| or similar) 5.Solid understanding of UX principles| user research| and design thinking 6.Knowledge of HTML| CSS| and responsive design 7.Experience with version control (Git) 8.Excellent communication and collaboration skills
