Lead Java Developer

E-trading platform prices and executes client flow across [asset class] in real time. We are looking for a Senior Java Developer to join the front office engineering team in Prague. This is front office work: you sit close to the desk, talk directly to traders and sales, and see your code change how the business trades. Short feedback loops, high standards, and real accountability when the market is open. What you will do: Build low-latency microservices handling pricing, order flow and trade lifecycle eventsWork with high-volume Kafka event streams — throughput, ordering, replay, recoveryUse Apache Ignite to serve pricing and position data to latency-sensitive consumersKeep the critical path fast and predictable: profiling, allocation and GC behaviour, tail latencyOwn your services in production, including market-hours support What we are looking for: Strong Java development expertise, with extensive hands-on experience in Java 8 or higherExperience with microservices and container technologies, messaging with Kafka, and caching technologies such as Apache IgniteSolid experience with Spring Boot, JUnit, GitLab, Maven and JIRAGenuine grounding in Test Driven Development and Continuous IntegrationExperience with low-latency, high-throughput systems in productionFluent English Base salary up to 200,000 CZK gross per month depending on experience, plus an annual performance bonus.
