Senior Go Engineer

Job Description Ciklum is looking for a Senior Go Engineer to join our team full-time in the Czech Republic. About The Role We are looking for a Senior Go Engineer to be part of our engineering team. Our mission is to help people save money on the prescription drugs they need to get healthy lives and make healthcare more accessible and affordable. As a Senior Go Developer, you will be responsible for development and maintenance of tools, backend services and APIs that power our onboarding flows and internal systems. In this role you will be involved in the design, implementation, deployment and operations of new or existing tools, services and APIs needed to support new product functionality. You’ll also be collaborating with other engineering teams. The ideal candidate will be able to quickly turn ideas into production-ready solutions in a fast- paced and friendly environment. You should also be comfortable learning new technologies as needed. Responsibilities Be a team player, mentor, teach, collaborate, and learn from those around youDesign, implement, and maintain highly scalable and performant servicesContinually improve the codebase and test coverage through refactoring, unit testing, system testing, automating deployment and operationsMaintain an understanding of the business requirements and work closely with stakeholders to understand what they need and whyMake smart engineering and product decisions based on data analysis and collaborationHelp improve engineering standards and processesBring an agile, iterative, and curious mindset to every challengeBe a subject matter expert who others both in your squad and beyond will turn to Requirements 7+ years of professional experience working as an engineerSignificant experience designing, building, deploying, operating, and maintaining cloud-based web services and microservices (AWS experience preferred)Extensive experience with GoWell build TypeScript and Kafka knowledgeStrong experience with relational and non-relational database technologiesExperience with containers, Docker, and KubernetesHands on exposure with serverless technologies (Lambdas)Experience with log shipping, distributed tracing tools, and service monitoring systems (Datadog, Sumo Logic, Cloudwatch, Sentry, etc…)Knowledge of front-end development (React or other) is beneficialKnowledge of Javscript/Typescript and GraphQL is beneficialProven debugging/troubleshooting skillsDeep understanding and knowledge of component-level and application-level design patternsSeveral years of experience with agile methodologies and rapid iteration cyclesHabits which exhibit the best practices of agile quality and testing methods (TDD, BDD, Unit Testing and Automation, iterative development)Ability to deal with ambiguous and complex project requirementsEffective verbal and written communicatorStrong Linux fundamentals What’s in it for you?
