What is the opportunity? o This is a platform engineer position which is part of fast growing Wealth Management DMI (Data Management & Insights) team which will work with multiple infrastructure teams, upstream/downstream system consumers and services providers, 3rd party vendor partners, and operation partners. o DMI Platform Engineering team is highly focusing on the communication, collaboration, integration, automation and measurement of cooperation in order to provide a range of operational, business, technical, and system needs, to resolve business systems issues by recommending technology solutions that meet sponsor/stakeholder needs. What will you do? o Provide day to day support for DMI application platforms including Unix, Windows, Sybase, SQL Server, MemSQL (In Memory Distributed DB), MQ, Kafka, OpenShift, ELK, Hadoop, Connect Direct. o Provide expert counseling to application development community in building platform/DevOps solutions by providing expert technical/solution/platform services. o Design and implement solutions for application team to leverage the DMI platforms. o Develop automation programs to improve efficiency of Platform supports. o Setup monitor/alerts for the platforms and ensure stability and resiliency of the platforms. o Work with Dev, QA and Prod support team to setup proper CI/CD pipelines. o Leads Platform initiatives from end to end to ensure initiative will be completed successfully. o Follow RBC Technology Standards and work with Dev, QA and support team to ensure DMI platforms meet RBC security and compliance standards. What do you need to succeed? Must-have § Advanced knowledge, experience, and understanding of Unix/Linux, Windows, Active Directory, NAS,SQL Server DB, MQ, Kafka. § Public and Private cloud knowledge, skills and experiences (Azure, AWS, GCP, OpenShift, Dockers, Kubernetes, ELK). § Knowledge about DevOps (GitHub, Jenkins, Urbancodes, Nexus, Ansible, etc), application monitoring tools (Dynatrace, Prognosis) and related tools.
