Role Description The Full-Time Web Developer will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the company’s website and related web applications to support business operations and marketing initiatives. This on-site role, based in Concord, ON, includes developing user-friendly interfaces, optimizing site performance, and ensuring mobile responsiveness and cross-browser compatibility. The Web Developer will collaborate with management and marketing teams to update content, implement new features, and integrate third-party tools such as analytics and customer inquiry forms. Daily tasks include troubleshooting technical issues, maintaining security best practices, and performing regular site maintenance and updates. The role also involves gathering requirements from stakeholders and translating them into scalable, maintainable web solutions. Qualifications Strong proficiency in front-end web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with experience building responsive, user-friendly interfaces.Experience with back-end development using languages and frameworks such as PHP, Node.js, or similar, and familiarity with RESTful APIs.Working knowledge of content management systems (e.g., WordPress or comparable platforms) and website administration.Understanding of web performance optimization, SEO basics, and cross-browser and cross-device testing.Experience with version control tools (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.Applied knowledge of web security best practices, including safe handling of user data and secure configuration of web servers.Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and capacity to manage multiple tasks and priorities on-site.Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with non-technical team members and leadership.Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.Previous experience in a small business or service-based environment is an asset; familiarity with plumbing or trades industries is a plus but not required.
