Lead Front End Developer

We're looking for a senior full stack engineer who gets things done. Not someone who waits for perfect requirements or blames blockers — someone who finds a way. You'll own features end-to-end across a high-traffic Laravel backend, multiple frontend stacks, and AWS infrastructure. When production has a problem at 2am, you're the type who's already looking at logs. This is a hands-on engineering role with real ownership. You'll touch everything: PHP services, Redis caching logic, Nginx configs, React components, deployment pipelines, and the AWS fleet that runs it all. If you thrive in fast-moving environments and take pride in keeping systems healthy under pressure, this is the role for you. ───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────── WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON - A Laravel 11 / Octane application processing tens of thousands of leads per month — background workers, queue jobs, Horizon dashboards, Octane tick processes - Salesforce and third-party API integrations with OAuth2 token management, retry logic, and failure recovery - Two frontend stacks: a modern React/Vite deployment on Vercel and a legacy static vhost stack running on Nginx — you'll maintain and ship to both - A multi-server AWS EC2 fleet with shared RDS (PostgreSQL) and Redis — you'll deploy to it, debug it, and scale it - Redis-backed caching, locking patterns, and queue infrastructure - Incident response when things go wrong in production ───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────── REQUIREMENTS - 6+ years of professional PHP experience, with at least 3 in Laravel - Strong understanding of Laravel internals: service providers, queues, Eloquent, middleware, caching, event broadcasting - Experience with Laravel Octane or other persistent-process PHP runtimes - Proficient in React or Vue.js — you can build and ship frontend features without a dedicated frontend engineer holding your hand - Comfortable with Linux server administration: Nginx vhosts, SSH, file permissions, process management, log triage - Hands-on AWS experience: EC2, RDS, S3, CloudFront, Route 53, IAM - PostgreSQL proficiency — query optimization, indexing, EXPLAIN plans - Redis beyond basic caching: locks, pub/sub, TTLs, queue drivers - Git workflow fluency — PRs, rebasing, hotfix branching - Comfortable being reachable for rare off-hours escalations when production demands it (this is the exception, not the norm) ───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────── NICE TO HAVE - Laravel Horizon for queue monitoring and configuration - Experience with Salesforce APIs or similar CRM integrations - Familiarity with Vercel deployments and edge configuration - CloudFlare WAF and DNS management - AWS SSM Session Manager for secure server access - TypeScript - PHPUnit / Pest testing ───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────── WHO YOU ARE - You don't wait to be unblocked — you find another way - You own your work from first commit to production monitoring - You're comfortable saying "I'll figure it out" and meaning it - Off-hours escalations are rare, but when they happen you show up — you don't leave production problems for morning - You communicate clearly when something is wrong and come with a plan, not just a problem - You read logs, not just error messages ───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────── COMPENSATION & PERKS - Competitive salary commensurate with experience - Remote-first, flexible schedule - Direct access to leadership — no layers of bureaucracy between you and decisions - Fast-moving environment where your work has immediate, visible impact
