Sr. Coordinator Quality Control - Fresh Food

Job DescriptionThe Senior Coordinator, Quality Control – Fresh Fruits & Vegetables is responsible for monitoring and ensuring the quality, freshness, safety, and compliance of fresh produce at distribution centers and warehouses. The role involves conducting comprehensive inspections during receiving, inbound, and outbound operations; identifying quality deviations; supporting corrective actions; and ensuring strict compliance with food safety standards and company specifications. Conduct daily live quality inspections for fruits and vegetables at our warehouse.Verify product compliance with company specifications, food safety requirements, and applicable regulatory standards.Evaluate product attributes including freshness, appearance, color, texture, ripeness, packaging condition, temperature, and shelf life.Monitor product handling, storage conditions, hygiene practices, and cold chain compliance throughout warehouse operations.Identify defects, non-conformities, damages, contamination risks, and quality deviations; report findings in a timely manner.Coordinate with operations, suppliers, and category managers to implement corrective and preventive actions.Support product rejection and escalation processes when quality standards are not met.Maintain comprehensive inspection records, reports, and quality documentation with accuracy and attention to detail.Assist in supplier performance evaluations and quality improvement initiatives.Support investigations related to customer complaints and quality incidents.Build and maintain effective working relationships with warehouse operations teams, suppliers, employees, and management.
