Description

We are seeking a talented Application Developer to join our Technology team at Marsh. This role will be based in our Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia office. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office. This role is part of our technology team supporting the development and delivery for Japan. You will collaborate closely with the business analyst and vendors to understand process requirements and system specifications, develop and implement the solutions. We will count on you to: Codes, tests and debugs software programs and meets project plan goals under limited guidance from senior software developers.Works independently to design and develop small technical modules.Assists with repairing coding problems.Provides technical support to clients on existing problems escalated as appropriate.Provides support through help desk; monitors trends and results from technical support calls to advise senior team members on performance of existing systems.Acts as a technical resource for other analysts on the team.Works with team to develop project plans and communicate software development plans.Support testing and validation of product features to ensure they meet business needs.Develop technical documentationPartner with Business/IT to define and manage scope for each release. What you need to have: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.Proven experience fulfilling the role of an Application Developer within the insurance industry.Demonstrable experience across a range of projects, both technology and non-technology.Strong technical skills in Express.js, Angular, Node.js and React.Over 3 years of experience in application development.Ability to interpret process models, requirements, and business scenarios leading to development of the solution.Ability to build strong working relationships with all relevant stakeholders.Experience with Agentic AI: Good understanding of agentic development concepts, such as designing or utilizing autonomous AI agents to automate business workflows and data analysis.Ability to speak Japanese is a MUST.
