DevOps Engineer - AWS CDK

Job Title: DevOps Engineer - AWS CDK Location: Berkeley Heights, NJ (5 Days Onsite) Job Summary Highly skilled DevOps Engineer with deep AWS CDK and Terraform expertise to support enterprise-scale cloud and platform engineering initiatives. The role involves designing, automating, and managing cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC), building robust CI/CD pipelines, and supporting Kubernetes-based microservices platforms in highly regulated environments. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, including reusable modules and environment-specific configurations.Provision and manage AWS cloud infrastructure, including VPCs, EKS, EC2, IAM, RDS, load balancers, networking, and security.Integrate Terraform with CI/CD pipelines to enable automated, version-controlled infrastructure deployments.Build and support CI/CD pipelines for application and platform deployments across Dev, QA, UAT, and Production environments.Manage and support Kubernetes platforms (EKS), including deployments, scaling, rollouts, and configuration management.Implement deployment strategies such as blue-green and canary releases.Collaborate with development, QA, security, and operations teams to ensure stable and secure releases.Support production releases and Level 2/Level 3 production issues following enterprise incident, change, and release management processes.Ensure infrastructure complies with security, compliance, and audit standards.Create and maintain documentation for infrastructure designs, Terraform modules, and operational procedures.Support disaster recovery (DR) setup and failover/failback processes between primary and DR environments.Demonstrate expertise in AWS replication services and high-availability deployment architectures.Design and support end-to-end AWS ECS service deployments and associated cloud components.Required Skills AWS CDK with strong hands-on expertise.Terraform IaCStrong experience writing Terraform code, modules, variables, state management, and workspaces.Experience provisioning AWS infrastructure using Terraform.AWS Cloud PlatformStrong experience with AWS EKS, EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, networking, and security concepts.Containers & OrchestrationDockerKubernetes (EKS)kubectlDeployments, Services, ConfigMaps, and SecretsCI/CD & DevOps ToolsGitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, or similar toolsGit branching and release strategiesOperating Systems & ScriptingStrong Linux/Unix administration experienceShell scripting (Bash)PythonEnterprise DevOps PracticesExperience working with change, incident, and release management processesStrong understanding of:AWS replication strategiesDisaster recovery and high availability architecturesAWS deployment methodologiesEnd-to-end AWS ECS platform componentsPreferred Skills AWS CloudFormationAnsibleGitJenkinsShell ScriptingHelm Charts and Kubernetes packagingGitOps tools (ArgoCD, Flux)Secrets management (HashiCorp Vault, cloud-native secrets solutions)Monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, CloudWatch, and PrometheusExperience in BFSI, Payments, or Financial Services domainsExposure to multi-environment, multi-tenant, or regulated platformsQualifications Demonstrated expertise in DevOps engineering and cloud infrastructure automation.Strong experience building and supporting AWS-based cloud platforms.Experience supporting critical production systems and enterprise-scale deployments.Excellent communication skills for collaborating with stakeholders and cross-functional teams.Ability to work independently in a fast-paced enterprise environment.Proactive approach toward automation, standardization, reliability, and continuous improvement.We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
