Agility Partners is seeking a Power Systems Software Engineer for a client in the energy industry. This position focuses on developing software and automation tools that support outage coordination, power system stability analysis, and electric grid planning. You'll play a key role in building solutions that integrate operational data, automate engineering workflows, and improve the efficiency and accuracy of transmission system studies. What You'll Be Doing: Develop and automate workflows for transmission outage processing, system case preparation, contingency analysis, and power system impact assessmentsBuild software that integrates with operational systems and data sources to collect, validate, and process information used in planning and outage coordination activitiesCreate automation tools for steady-state and dynamic power system studies using VSAT, TSAT, and similar analysis platformsDesign and develop applications, APIs, scripts, dashboards, and user interfaces that support engineering and operational workflowsPerform testing, validation, troubleshooting, and documentation to ensure reliability and quality of developed solutionsCollaborate with engineers and subject matter experts to solve complex power system and software development challenges What We're Looking For: 6+ years of experience in software engineering, application development, power systems engineering, or a related technical fieldStrong software development and coding experience with the ability to build scalable applications, automation tools, APIs, and scriptsExperience within electric power systems, including transmission systems, power system stability studies, contingency analysis, outage coordination, or grid operationsHands-on experience with VSAT, TSAT, or comparable power system analysis toolsExperience developing automated data integration, processing, and analytical workflowsStrong troubleshooting, testing, validation, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently while collaborating effectively with engineers and technical teams Why This Opportunity?
