Senior Software Engineer - PHP

If you're an experienced PHP Developer looking for more than another feature factory, this is an opportunity to make a genuine technical impact. You'll join a growing software business following a recent acquisition, helping bring together two complementary products used by some of the UK's best-known food manufacturers. The business has an ambitious roadmap and a clear vision to modernise an established platform whilst continuing to deliver value to customers. You'll help shape how a PHP application evolves into a modern Laravel-based platform and be the senior technical voice within a growing PHP team, influencing architecture, improving engineering standards and mentoring developers, whilst remaining hands-on throughout. We need someone who can hit the ground running, taking ownership of complex technical challenges whilst helping the wider team become more effective. Key responsibilities include: Leading development across a large PHP platformDriving the migration towards LaravelImproving architecture, code quality and engineering standardsMentoring and supporting other developersDesigning APIs and integrationsRefactoring legacy code into maintainable solutionsWorking closely with Product and Engineering leadershipHelping shape technical direction across the platform Key technical skills: PHPLaravelSQL ServerREST APIs This is a remote role with a top end salary for £60k.
