JOB OVERVIEWThe IT Security & Infrastructure Specialist plays a crucial role in providing strategic and operational support for IT security, infrastructure, and cloud services. This position is responsible for ensuring the security, resilience, availability, and fitness-for-purpose of MBFS SA's IT infrastructure, cloud environments, and information assets in a dynamic technological and cyber threat landscape. Key responsibilities include proactively safeguarding systems and data, leveraging emerging technologies, and supporting business transformation.Reporting to the Head of IT, the specialist acts as a trusted advisor within the IT Service Delivery team, offering expertise in cybersecurity, infrastructure, cloud platforms, virtual data centers, and network communications. The role also contributes to the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of technology solutions, ensuring optimal performance, stability, and compliance, while actively preventing and resolving infrastructure-related issues to minimize risk and enhance service reliability. KEY TASKS: Secure Infrastructure, Cloud Transformation & Technology Governance:Ensure the security, integrity, availability, and resilience of on-premises and cloud-based IT infrastructure.Lead and support cloud transformation and migration initiatives, including application, platform, and infrastructure migrations.Monitor, assess, and mitigate cyber security risks, vulnerabilities, and emerging threats. Design, implement, and maintain secure cloud architectures and hybrid infrastructure solutions.Support and advise on infrastructure architecture, design, implementation, and continuous improvement initiatives. Maintain and optimize virtual data center, cloud, network, and communication environments.Contribute to business and technology transformation projects and strategic initiatives. Provide technical leadership, guidance, and support to the IT Service Delivery function.Drive compliance with Mercedes-Benz standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. Support incident resolution, root cause analysis, and preventative measures to improve operational stability.Identify, evaluate, and enable emerging technologies that enhance business capabilities and efficiency. Ensure infrastructure and cloud solutions remain scalable, secure, cost-effective, and aligned with current and future business requirements. Data Loss Prevention: Deploy and operate data loss prevention controls and solutions. Maintain high value asset repositories.Support the business in the implementation of the data loss prevention strategy and apply data classification and loss prevention standards.Monitor data loss prevention alerts and escalate as necessary.Support the establishment of data loss prevention related security monitoring controls and monitoring of endpoint protection alerts.Use metrics reporting to manage data loss prevention compliance in the region and markets. Support the administration and maintenance of existing data leakage controls, addressing changes in regulation, organizational structure, or business needs Vulnerability identification and Risk management:Operate a vulnerability management capability to identify, communicate, remediate and track technical vulnerabilities. Perform regular and complete vulnerability scans of MBFS information systems and networks.Perform vulnerabilities risk review by assessing the different layers of vulnerabilities of the designated system/environment to determine risk in order to prioritize remediation.Communicate vulnerabilities and potential impact to relevant stakeholders. Collaborate with respective teams on the resolution of issues and assist with mitigation planning as needed.Document remediation plans including owners and timeline. Facilitate regression testing to ensure effective mitigation of identified issues.Track remediation progress against agreed plans; and supporting 3rd party supplier risk assessments.Maintain Data @ Cloud processes (Leading IT Cloud Risk Assessments); and support the implementation of global MBM and MBAG cybersecurity initiatives and drive local measures to achieve ISO and IT Security objectives.Coordinate remediation activities resulting from security assessments, audits, and risk reviews. Infrstructure Management:Support in resolving connectivity issues in all environments (Production/QA), setting up new connections.Server setup: URLS – VIP allocation, CSR files, Cert requestsCompleting pricing configurators and finalizing costs environments, and driving the adoption and governance of cloud technologies and migration initiatives.Maintain FW Rules management & documentation, OPM Management, and enterprise Architecture updates. Stakeholder/Supplier Management & Project Management:Review and approve communications for key stakeholders, including proactive engagement with business to identify opportunities.Actively working with suppliers to ensure SoW is concluded, and act as the window and gate keeper for IT Security.Manage the overall project portfolio and link to the BU & IT Project teams and active co-ordination of Strategic ProjectsManage project priority conflicts and support resource allocations within IT team, and support the Head of IT in the planning, coordination, and governance of information security initiatives. Proactive leadership:Actively communicate and keep abreast of the latest trends in data loss prevention, cybersecurity and vulnerability management.Actively contribute to request for input and feedback into global SO data loss prevention and vulnerability management initiatives.Facilitate meetings with business members and participate in relevant projects, and acting as the ambassador to drive digital transformation.Lead and support internal and external IT Security audits and ensure timely closure of audit findings.Drive continuous service improvement across security, infrastructure, and cloud capabilities to strengthen operational effectiveness and cybersecurity maturity. Technical Knowledge:Experience in data loss prevention, encryption, cryptography, tokenization, data masking, access control and public key infrastructure.Experience in vulnerability scanning to identify, communicate, and track vulnerabilities to information systems and networks.Experience working with the following: Nessus, NexposeDirect experience with data loss prevention compliance topics such as NIST, PCI, EU Data Protection Directive, GDPR, DFARS, CFAT or other relevant regulations.Experience identifying, evaluating and managing risk in a complex and changing environment.Experience discerning an organization’s security controls for information systems and networks based on vulnerabilities and business needs.Experience implementing and operating leading-edge technologies.Experience with Virtual environments (Citrix), Windows Stack, Firewalls, Digital certificates, SSL, VPN, TCP/IP, DNS, web security architecture, Storage & Backup technologies & devices (SAN)Familiarity with application and operating system hardening, vulnerability assessments, security audits, penetration testing, intrusion prevention systems and other security control systems. Qualifications & Experience:Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Information Security, Cybersecurity or a related field.3-5 years of relevant work experience in data loss prevention and vulnerability management functions.Experience working in an IT position with significant information security responsibilitiesFinancial Services, Fintech and/or Banking and automotive experience preferred.Experience in leading or managing IT environments as single point of accountability to the business Experience in optimizing IT and business processes with proven ability to drive initiatives in cross-functional environments.
