Software Engineer II

WHAT’S BREWING IN THIS ROLE... The Software Engineer II is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the technology that powers 7 Brew’s digital experiences, with a primary focus on our iOS and Android mobile applications. This is a hands-on, full-stack engineering role that also supports the backend services, APIs, integrations, and web experiences behind our growing digital ecosystem. The Software Engineer II will own features throughout the development lifecycle, from functional and technical design through development, testing, deployment, and production support. This role works cross-functionally with Engineering, business teams, and leadership to deliver reliable, scalable, and customer-focused technology solutions that support 7 Brew’s continued growth. THE FLAVOR YOU ADD... Mobile Application Development Design, build, and maintain production iOS and Android mobile applications.Develop new mobile features and enhance existing customer experiences.Troubleshoot and resolve mobile application issues, including production incidents.Support mobile application testing, releases, and ongoing performance improvements.Participate in App Store and Google Play deployment processes.Backend Services & APIs Build and maintain backend services and APIs using Python and FastAPI.Design and develop RESTful APIs and microservices that support mobile and web applications.Develop reliable, scalable, and maintainable services that support growing business needs.Troubleshoot backend services, integrations, and production issues.Web Development Contribute to web application development as business and technical needs require.Build and maintain solutions using technologies such as React, Angular, TypeScript, and Vue/Nuxt.Support digital experiences and content-driven applications, including Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) environments.Collaborate across mobile, backend, and web platforms to create consistent digital experiences.Cloud & Integrations Develop and maintain integrations with AWS and GCP services.Support scalable cloud-based application architecture and integrations.Troubleshoot issues across cloud services and connected systems.Partner with engineering teams on technical architecture and integration decisions.Software Delivery & Quality Own features end to end, from functional and technical design through deployment.Participate in code reviews and technical design discussions.Use Git for source control and collaborative software development.Develop and maintain unit and integration tests.Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines and automated testing for mobile and web releases.Troubleshoot and resolve issues across mobile, backend, and web applications, including production incidents.Cross-Functional Collaboration Collaborate with engineers, business teams, and leadership to translate business needs into technical solutions.Communicate technical concepts, risks, dependencies, and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.Contribute to technical design decisions and software development best practices.Partner across teams to deliver reliable solutions that support 7 Brew’s growth.MUST HAVE INGREDIENTS… Experience Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.3+ years of professional software development experience, with a focus on mobile application development.Experience building and shipping production mobile applications for iOS, Android, or cross-platform environments.Experience owning software features through development, testing, deployment, and production support.Technical Skills Proficiency with Python and FastAPI.Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs or microservices architectures.Experience with modern web technologies, including React, Angular, TypeScript, and Vue/Nuxt.Experience working with AWS and GCP.Experience using Git version control.Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, software architecture, and software design.Experience writing unit and integration tests.Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and modern software development practices.Preferred Experience Experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).Experience managing mobile application releases through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.Experience working across mobile, backend, web, and cloud technologies.Experience developing technology within a high-growth organization.Skills & Competencies Mobile-first software development.Full-stack engineering.Technical problem solving.Software design and architecture.Ownership and accountability.Clear and effective communication.Cross-functional collaboration.Continuous improvement.
