Your mission Title: Midlevel Fullstack Engineer Starting Date: immediately Working hours: 40 hours per week Fixed term: 31.12.2026, to be extended if project funding allows Location: Remote with German residence Language: English, German is a bonus Salary range: 50.000 - 60.000€ per 1 FTE As our Fullstack Engineer you are a key player in building and enhancing our core chat platform. You will work across the entire stack, focusing on delivering robust and user-friendly features with a strong focus on integrating cutting-edge AI technologies to improve our service for children and adolescents in need. Your tasks: Develop, test, and deploy high-quality, scalable full-stack features using our core technologies (Next.JS, React, Typescript, Tailwind)Design and implement effective API solutions and backend services (eg. Node.js or Python) to support our application's performance and functionalityCollaborate closely with the rest of the development team and product owner to translate product requirements into technical solutionsIntegrate and leverage AI models and features into the platform, specifically focusing on responsible implementation concerning user privacy and securityEngage in continuous knowledge exchange and perform thorough code reviews to maintain high coding standards and elevate team qualityTake ownership of features and projects, from conceptualization through to production deployment and monitoring Your profile Computer Science Degree or similar and 3+ years of similar experience in a Fullstack Engineer roleStrong proficiency in our core stack: Next.JS, React, Typescript, TailwindSolid understanding of API design and backend services (e.g., Node.js or Python)Experience with building or integrating AI featuresStrong communication and collaboration skillsProactive problem-solving and high ownershipEagerness to learn and to apply new technologies, especially AI-related onesHigh level of autonomy Why us? We offer children and young people professional psychosocial counseling - every day, 24 hours a day, via web application or WhatsApp. krisenchat has been available 24/7 since May 2020 - since then, our many crisis counselors have been able to help in over 200,000 crisis situations. Since March 1, 2022, krisenchat has also been offering confidential crisis counseling for Ukrainians of all ages, providing support to those particularly affected by the war. In addition to chat counseling, krisenchat now reaches millions of young people every year through psychoeducational content on various social media platforms.
