About the role We are looking for an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team. You will design, operate and improve complex AWS and Microsoft Azure environments, with a strong focus on automation, security, scalability, reliability and cost efficiency. The role includes ownership of cloud infrastructure and deployment processes, participation in architecture decisions and close cooperation with development, QA, security and infrastructure teams. Your responsibilities • Design, build and maintain infrastructure across AWS and Azure • Take ownership of production environments and critical deployment processes • Design and maintain Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines • Build and support Docker and Kubernetes-based environments • Automate infrastructure provisioning and operational activities • Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, cloud, network and deployment issues • Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive improvements • Improve monitoring, observability, security and reliability • Plan and implement cloud cost optimization strategies • Review infrastructure and automation changes • Participate in architecture discussions and mentor less experienced engineers Role's requirements • Strong practical experience with both AWS and Microsoft Azure • Good understanding of cloud networking, IAM/RBAC, compute, storage, monitoring, backup, security and high availability • Strong Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform • Experience with Ansible or similar configuration management tools • Strong CI/CD experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, Bamboo or similar • Strong scripting skills in Bash, PowerShell and/or Python • Strong Docker knowledge and practical experience with Kubernetes • Experience with Helm and GitOps practices • Advanced Linux administration and troubleshooting skills • Good understanding of DNS, routing, firewalls, VPN, load balancing, reverse proxies and TLS • Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor, AWS CloudWatch, ELK/OpenSearch or Datadog • Good understanding of DevSecOps, secrets management, backup, disaster recovery and incident management • Ability to independently solve complex technical problems and take ownership from design to production Advantages: • AWS and/or Azure certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-305 or AWS Solutions Architect • CKA/CKAD certification • Experience with AKS and EKS • Experience with ArgoCD and Istio • Experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB or MSSQL • Experience with HashiCorp Vault or similar products • ISO 27001 / SOC 2 experience • Experience with cloud architecture, FinOps and disaster recovery Why Join Sirma? • Learn from the Best - Work alongside some of the brightest minds in the industry, collaborate with international experts, and be part of a culture where knowledge sharing is part of everyday life. • Build What Matters - Take on challenging projects, solve real business problems, and work with cutting-edge technologies that drive innovation across industries. • Flexibility That Works for You - Start your day between 8:00 and 10:00, depending on your team’s schedule.
