Backend / Full-Stack Engineer New York City | Full-Time We’re working with a number of high-growth technology companies in New York City that are looking to hire experienced Backend and Full-Stack Engineers. You’ll be joining fast-paced, product-led engineering teams where you’ll work closely with other engineers, product teams, and founders to build and scale modern technology platforms. What You’ll Be Doing Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIsDevelop reliable, production-grade applications and infrastructureOwn features and technical projects from design through deploymentBuild and integrate APIs, services, databases, and third-party systemsWork across backend and frontend applications where requiredContribute to system architecture, scalability, reliability, and performanceBuild cloud-based applications and improve deployment and observabilityCollaborate closely with product and engineering teams to ship new featuresTroubleshoot complex technical problems across production environmentsParticipate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices What We’re Looking For 4+ years of professional software engineering experienceStrong backend engineering experienceExperience building and maintaining production applicationsStrong programming experience with one or more of: Python, Rust, TypeScript / Node.jsFull-stack experience with technologies such as: React, TypeScript, Next.jsExperience designing and working with APIsStrong understanding of relational databases such as PostgreSQLExperience with cloud platforms, ideally AWSGood understanding of software architecture and system designExperience working with distributed or scalable systemsComfortable taking ownership and working in a fast-moving environmentStrong problem-solving and communication skills Nice to Have Experience with FastAPIExperience building distributed, event-driven, or high-performance systemsExperience with AI, LLM, or data-intensive applicationsExperience with infrastructure, observability, or DevOps toolingExperience with Docker and KubernetesPrevious startup or scale-up experienceExperience working across both backend and frontend systemsExposure to fintech, digital assets, or other technically complex products The Opportunity These roles offer the opportunity to work with ambitious technology companies building and scaling products from the ground up.
