DevOps Engineer

About the Role As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining CI/CD build pipelines for simulation software across multiple software generations. You will also develop monitoring tools, implement virtualization and automation solutions, and ensure the availability and continuous improvement of internal IT systems and tools. The role includes defining system requirements, developing system architectures and designs, and ensuring platform scalability and stability. You will also coordinate between specialist departments, manage sprint planning and reviews, and ensure work is delivered with the required quality and timelines. There is also an opportunity to take on future technical leadership of a team of 7–9 employees, including mentoring and performance development. Qualifications Completed degree in a natural science field or comparable qualification.Several years of experience in DevOps, CI/CD, virtualization, IT systems, and server administration.Experience with automated computer installation and configuration, software deployment, and system monitoring.Strong knowledge of DevOps processes and practices.Experience defining and implementing technical architecture standards.Experience with complex IT or simulation system architecture is preferred.Fluent German and English skills.Willingness to travel nationally and internationally.Skills & Requirements Key technical skills include: GitLabArtifactoryDockerJenkinsHyper-VVMwareWindows and Linux systemsPythonBashPowerShellGrafanaThe successful candidate should also demonstrate strong communication and conflict-resolution skills, effective time management, independence, and the ability to confidently drive projects and coordinate stakeholders.
