Embedded Vision Engineer (Linux / Computer Vision) Location: Latvia Our Aerospace client based in Latvia looking for an Embedded Vision Engineer to own and optimize camera systems on their platforms from sensor integration to real-time video processing and computer vision on the edge. What you will be doing: You’ll work at the intersection of embedded Linux, imaging systems, and computer vision, developing camera pipelines that operate reliably in real-world conditions. This is a systems-focused role where you’ll work across hardware and software layers to ensure high-performance, low-latency video and vision capabilities onboard their drones. Key Responsibilities Develop and optimize embedded Linux camera pipelines (capture, ISP, encoding, streaming)Integrate and bring up camera sensors on embedded platforms (e.g. MIPI CSI, driver configuration)Implement and optimize computer vision algorithms on edge devices (e.g. detection, tracking)Debug issues across hardware, drivers, and application layersOptimize real-time video performance (latency, bandwidth, reliability)Work with imaging SoCs (e.g. Novatek Microelectronics or similar) to tune system performanceCollaborate with hardware, RF, and systems teams on end-to-end integration Requirements Strong experience with embedded Linux developmentSolid programming skills in C/C++Experience working with camera systems / imaging pipelinesHands-on experience with computer vision Understanding of hardware interfaces (e.g. MIPI CSI, I2C, SPI)Systems mindset understanding how components interact in real-world deploymentsExperience with Novatek or similar imaging/video SoCs is a big bonusBackground in drones, robotics, automotive (ADAS), or surveillance systems Offer: Competitive salary (€6000-€10,000 per month)Work on cutting-edge drone systems used in real-world missionsSolve complex, multidisciplinary engineering challengesHigh ownership and impact on deployed technologyFast-moving, engineering-driven environment
