Responsibilities
Research, design, and manage algorithms and flowcharts; translate business requirements into efficient backend codeWrite high-quality reusable code, develop quality assurance procedures, and maintain a strong focus on writing test specsTroubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software while recommending and executing technical improvementsSet up projects from scratch, including service design, fault-tolerant architecture, and technical documentationDeploy software tools and processes, ensuring microservices are scalable and high-performing in high-load environmentsWork closely with a multidisciplinary team of designers, developers, and the Business team to evaluate user feedback
Requirements
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Ruby DeveloperStrong experience in backend development with a focus on Ruby on RailsDeep knowledge of PostgreSQL (SQL Clusters) and NoSQL (Cassandra, MongoDB), along with caching strategiesProven understanding of Microservices, service scalability, and fault-tolerant designHands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CentOS/CoreOS, and Cloud Providers (AWS, Azure, or GCP)Solid understanding of DNS, IPv6, network protocols, and software security best practicesAbility to build libraries/plugins (e.g., Gems, Hex, Pip, Npm modules)Experience with Localization (L10n) and Internationalization (i18n)
