Captivation is looking for software developers who can get stuff done while making a difference in support of the mission to protect our country. Description Captivation Software has an immediate need for a DevOps Engineer to support modernization effort to converge the agency's authoring, dissemination, and other supporting tools. Responsibilities will include: deploying applications; installing and configuring complex software; managing network servers and technology tools; monitoring and maintaining the system for required levels of performance; and troubleshooting issues and outages. Candidates will be required to work a rotating pager schedule for emergency 24/7 call-in support as required (roughly 1 week out of every 3-4 weeks). Staff may charge 4 additional hours for the week they are on call in addition to hours worked. On average, the first team is paged for after-hours support approximately once every couple of months with most issues resolvable by phone. Requirements Security Clearance: Must currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable Polygraph, therefore all candidates must be a U.S. citizen Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.A minimum of three (3) years of experience in software development/engineering, including requirements analysis, software development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, testing, or problem diagnosis/resolution.Master's degree can be substituted for two (2) years experience Required Skills: LinuxAWS, MASH, and VMsDocker SwarmDeployments of distributed web applications (e.g. GitLab CI/CD)Terraform scripting and VM provisioningAnsible scripting and developmentThorough understanding of Docker & Docker Compose container technologyGit Desired Skills: Python scripting and developmentNiFi maintenance and configurationElasticsearch maintenance and configurationJava/Spring Boot (troubleshooting error logs)HAProxyMongoDB This position is open for direct hires only.
