Stantec is now hiring for Senior Site Inspectors to join our Field Services Team in the Niagara Fallls area. Your Key Responsibilities Linear infrastructure experience required (watermain and commissioning) , structural rehabilitation an asset.Assists with monitoring and calculation of production ratesAssists with monitoring compliance with and administering terms of operational constraints of the contractManage all paperwork and communication within the field officeProvides a leading role in monitoring compliance to commitments of and administering construction contract provisions regarding the Contractor's Quality Control Performance MeasuresChecks and inspects construction activities, operations, and work to ensure compliance with the contract documents, drawings, and specificationsConducts site surveys, confirms scope of work, obtains relevant information, equipment and materials and maintains quality and payment records in a daily diary for the work completedCompiles field/test data in a report form for review by the Contract AdministratorLiaise / Coordinate with service providers for specialized inspections and/or testing to ensure the tasks are completed per the terms or reference, specifications or agreementObtain video / photographic records as requiredRecord, review and address contractor questions and clarifications by reporting to the Contract Administrator for resolution if not already provided to the contractorAttend site meetings and reconnaissance on-siteAble to handle multiple priorities without losing focus Your Capabilities And Credentials Familiar with field construction activitiesAble to work on weekends, nights, shift work, additional hours as requiredStrong interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to work well in a team environmentProficiency with MS OfficePrevious office administration experience working in a construction office setting an assetA valid Ontario driver's license and access to a vehicleAble to travel and work in the Greater Toronto Area [GTA]. Education And Experience A post-secondary diploma or degree in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology / Technician or equivalentMinimum 4 years' experience in engineering/construction working on MTO or municipal projects.Registration as a Technician/Technologist with O.A.C.E.T.T. or Professional Engineer or Engineer-in-Training with PEO required Designation as determined by OACETT as a Road Construction Senior Inspector (RCSI) or Road Construction Contract Administration (RCCA) Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
