The Role
You will be our Founding Full-Stack Engineer, working directly with the CEO and CPO to take the platform from first commit to our first thousand subscribers.
You will own major pieces of the product end-to-end:
The customer subscription experienceBilling and invoicingThe vehicle catalogInternal tools used by our dealer partners and operations teamThis is a builder’s hands-on role with real ownership, meaningful equity, and a direct line to every product decision.
What You’ll Do
Core Platform Engineering: Design and build the core platform end-to-end using a React/Next.js front end, server-side APIs, and background jobs-you will set the patterns, not just follow them.Customer Workflows: Build the vehicle catalog, availability engine, and delivery/swap flows that customers use to subscribe, upgrade, and exchange cars.Operations & Partner Tools: Build dealer and ops-facing tools (inventory, registration/vehicle lifecycle status, payouts, pricing) that our partners and internal teams rely on daily.Engineering Foundations: Set the engineering architecture for a lean, AI-augmented team (CI/CD, automated testing, role-based access control, and documented delivery processes).Product Strategy: Shape the roadmap directly alongside the CEO and CPO-translating product vision into robust tech architecture.
What We’re Looking For
Experience: 2–3+ years shipping production web apps across the full stack; comfortable owning a feature from schema to UI to deploy.Tech Stack: Strong proficiency in React, Next.js, TypeScript, and Node-based backend APIs.Payments Expertise: Hands-on experience with Stripe subscriptions and webhooks (handling proration, invoicing, and dunning-not just one-time checkouts).Internal Tooling: Experience building admin panels and dashboards for non-engineering teams (ops, sales, partners).AI-First Workflow: Fluent with modern AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, etc.) as a core part of your daily workflow.Ownership Mindset: Highly comfortable with ambiguity, biased toward shipping fast, and proactive about writing tests and docs.Communication: Clear communicator who thrives working directly with non-technical founders.
Nice to Have
Background in mobility, automotive, fintech, or insurtech.Experience building marketplaces or two-sided platforms.Experience integrating with vehicle data APIs (VIN decoding, DMV/registration), embedded insurance, or logistics systems.
