Senior Site Reliability Engineer

Job Title: Lead Site Reliability Engineer (Deployment Security) – Warsaw (Hybrid) Work Authorization: Must hold valid Polish work docs (no sponsorship available) About the Role We are building a new engineering team for a global tier-1 financial institution to strengthen its deployment security platform. You will lead a squad of SRE/DevOps engineers, defining reliability strategy for mission-critical infrastructure and security tooling. You will work alongside Java engineers and security architects to operate highly available systems at enterprise scale. This is a long-term, multi-year program. Key Responsibilities Set engineering standards and guide a squad of SRE/DevOps engineers.Architect fault-tolerant, self-scaling infrastructure on AWS using Terraform.Own observability (Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk) and incident response.Build and evolve CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) with security embedded.Partner with Java developers to embed reliability into every layer. Required Skills 7+ years in SRE, DevOps, or systems engineering roles.2+ years in a Technical Lead or similar leadership position.Java hands-on – must read, review, and occasionally write Java code (Java 11/17+).Deep Kubernetes (EKS) and AWS experience.Terraform and GitOps (ArgoCD or Flux).Python, Go, or Bash scripting.Strong observability skills (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/Splunk).Excellent communication and enterprise mindset.Valid Polish work authorization required (no sponsorship). Nice to Have DevSecOps / secrets management (Vault).Chaos engineering or resilience testing.Financial services background.
