We are looking for a Software Engineer who combines strong technical skills with ownership, creativity, and a continuous improvement mindset. This role is for someone who does not just implement requirements, but actively contributes ideas, challenges assumptions, and helps shape better solutions. You & your role Build and operate the backend services that power Rabobank's digital experiences. As Software Engineer (Java 21+), you design secure microservices, improve observability, solve production challenges and help shape better solutions together with developers, architects, product owners and stakeholders. Examples for practices Design, develop and maintain Java-based microservices for business-critical digital banking platforms. Build scalable, secure and performant REST APIs that support reliable customer experiences. Improve reliability, observability and operational excellence across the platform. Improve reliability, observability and operational excellence through monitoring, logging, alerting and production support. Collaborate with developers, architects, product owners and stakeholders to challenge assumptions and shape better solutions.
