Summary
✨ AI‑Generated
Join a hands-on engineering role where you turn real operational problems into production-ready digital solutions. You will take ownership from architecture and coding to deployment, rapidly prototype ideas, validate them with users, automate workflows, and incorporate AI where it delivers genuine value.
Highlights
Own solutions end to end, from architecture and first code through deployment and adoption. The role combines hands-on engineering, rapid prototyping, AI-enabled solutions, client collaboration, and meaningful commercial ownership.
Description
At Tandem, we build bespoke, engaging digital solutions.
Intuitive applications built from the ground up, designed around real users, shipped to production, and infused with AI where it matters.
The work ranges from idea to rapid MVP, testing real use cases with working prototypes, iterating on user feedback, and automating workflows across client organisations.
We work with clients from many segments: FMCG, Healthcare, Retail to name a few and every solution is tailored to a specific problem for a specific client.
We are looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer to build these solutions end to end.
From the first commit to a product in daily use.
You own the build: the architecture, the code, the deployment, and most importantly, the commercial ownership and adoption.
The role
Most of our projects begin as a good puzzle or problem: a manual process eating energy and resources from a team, a data process automation, or a consolidating scattered systems in to something digestible.
Your job is to build the answer.
You will spend most of your time building.
Not tickets from a backlog, but whole products.
You choose the structure, make the trade-offs, and carry your decisions through to production.
When you need context, you go get it yourself, because a question asked directly beats a requirement passed down.
The profile we are after is rare.
Technically capable to build anything we throw at you.
Commercial enough to know why it is worth building
In this role, you will:
Architect, build, and ship web applications and data tools across the full stackThere is no designer between you and the user.
You should have taste and be able to defend itTake an idea to a working prototype within days, and a prototype to a product that lastsWire up integrations with ERPs, APIs, data platforms, and cloud servicesUse agentic coding at a high level as a natural part of how you write, test, and shipAutomate manual workflows and replace spreadsheet-driven processes with purpose-built toolsSet the standard for code quality, documentation, and deployment as the team grows
Technology stack
We are pragmatic about our tools.
React and Next.js on the frontend, modern databases, auth, Vercel for deployment, GitHub for version control.
Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Snowflake and the broader Azure ecosystem on the data side.
What we expect
Someone who ships.
You have taken software to production and enjoyed the messy parts of getting there.
You are comfortable with agentic coding, or eager to get very good at it fast.
You care about how things are built, not only whether they run, and you can explain your choices in plain language.
Judgement, curiosity, and a habit of finishing things count for more than years on a CV.
What you should expect
We are a small team by design.
We work together from our Copenhagen office, debate solutions openly, and make decisions together.
Everyone owns their projects end to end, and your work will be running at real companies within weeks.
Some of the perks include:
Office on Glentevej 47, 2400 København NV, right next to Nørrebro stationLunchDirect impact on real client solutionsPing pong table and Friday barsFlexible work arrangementsAn ambitious, team who get a kick out of shipping something on Tuesday that did not exist on Monday.
Start: As soon as possible
We are interviewing as we go.
The sooner you apply, the sooner we talk
Does this sound like you? Then do not hesitate to get in touch.
We would love to hear from you.
