IBM FileNet Developer Job Description We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated IBM FileNet Developer to join our Enterprise Content Management team. In this role, you will be responsible for the architecture, development, administration, and continuous improvement of the bank's core IBM FileNet P8 platforms. You will bridge the gap between system administration and custom development, ensuring our high-volume document management systems are secure, scalable, and seamlessly integrated with our digital banking platforms. This role requires a strong blend of infrastructure support, API development, and automated workflow design within a strictly regulated financial environment. Key Responsibilities 1. FileNet Administration & Platform Engineering Manage, configure, and maintain the IBM FileNet P8 5.5.x suite (including Content Engine, Process Engine, Application Engine, and Navigator).Oversee system performance tuning, high-availability cluster management, capacity planning, and disaster recovery testing.Manage security configurations, access control expressions (ACE/ACL), and integrate FileNet with enterprise directory services (LDAP/Active Directory).Perform platform upgrades, fix pack installations, and routine environment health checks across Development, QA, and Production environments.2. Custom Development & Integration Design and develop custom workflows, document classes, choice lists, and metadata models tailored to banking operations.Build custom applications and extensions using FileNet Java APIs and Web Services.Integrate FileNet with upstream and downstream banking applications, utilizing REST/SOAP APIs and Kafka/MQ messaging middleware.Develop and customize user interfaces using IBM Content Navigator (ICN) plugins and JavaScript.3. Support, DevOps, & Compliance Provide Tier 3 production support, troubleshooting complex system bottlenecks, database connectivity issues, and infrastructure faults.Implement CI/CD pipelines for FileNet artifact deployment using tools like Jenkins, Bitbucket, and Ansible.Ensure all ECM solutions strictly adhere to the bank's data governance, security, financial audit, and compliance guidelines. Qualifications & Skills Required Experience Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience in IBM FileNet P8 (5.5+) administration and development, preferably within a large financial institution or highly regulated sector.Development Skills: Strong proficiency in Java/J2EE, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, and working with FileNet APIs.Database & OS: Solid experience with relational databases (IBM DB2, Oracle, or MS SQL Server) and writing complex SQL queries. Strong proficiency in Unix/Linux shell scripting.Application Servers: Experience configuring and managing IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS). Preferred & Asset Skills Experience with IBM Business Automation Workflow (BAW) or Case Manager.Knowledge of containerization and cloud platforms (RedHat OpenShift, AWS, or Azure) as FileNet transitions to cloud-native architectures.Familiarity with IBM Datacap or other enterprise capture solutions.IBM FileNet Professional Certifications (e.g., IBM Certified Administrator or Developer).
