Summary ✨ AI‑Generated

Join an advanced scientific technology team building platform infrastructure for large-scale biological data and AI workloads. You will help solve demanding problems around massive data volumes, high-throughput computation, interactive access, and rapidly expanding LLM and compute requirements.

Highlights

Work at the intersection of biology and AI on challenging infrastructure problems involving petabyte-scale data, massive datasets, interactive analytics, and rapidly growing compute requirements.

Description

August 10, 2026 - Copenhagen, Denmark Engineering at the Frontier of Biology and AI Most of medicine still reads biology through DNA and RNA. We go further - into the spatial proteome, where proteins act in their native tissue context and where disease actually plays out. Biology has never been able to do this at scale, and that is what we set out to change. The scale challenge is real. Every measurement leaves a multi-gigabyte raw file behind, putting the archive on a path to petabytes and the peptide matrix toward tens of billions of rows - while insights about a single protein or patient sample need to be available at interactive speed. ResOne, our molecular intelligence platform, has already profiled over a billion pixels and hundreds of millions of peptide and protein measurements, and we project growing that by orders of magnitude. If you are excited about engineering the systems behind biology that make a real difference - and don't mind helping us drive up our compute and LLM bills along the way - we would love to hear from you. The Role As a Platform Engineer at Resolute Bio, you will own the cloud foundations behind ResOne - the infrastructure that turns raw instrument output into ground-truth spatial proteomic data. Working across AWS, IaC, and data engineering, you will provision resources, harden pipelines, automate how we ship, and mature the platform toward the compliance requirements of a regulated space. You will join a small, international team of engineers and scientists in central Copenhagen, in mission-driven work that translates into real differences in patient care, not just publications. We are an AI-forward team: we use agentic tools daily and expect you to be fluent with them - but the judgment about what to build, where a pipeline might fail, and whether a result can be trusted still comes from you. You Will Own the cloud foundations for ResOne - the multi-account AWS organization, governance, compute, storage, networking, IAM, secrets, and the guardrails that keep it coherent as we growDeploy and maintain infrastructure across AWS and specialized GPU clusters for high-throughput data processing, model training, and inferenceLead Infrastructure as Code - evolve our IaC repos and migrate all production cloud resources to TerraformMake the platform observable - instrument metrics, logs, and traces, and build the dashboards and alerts the team relies onOwn the platform's unit economics - extend cost allocation and tagging into dashboards and anomaly detection, so AWS, compute, and LLM spend resolves to a manageable cost per sampleEvolve the platform toward compliance and data-governance requirements - access control, auditability, and data lineageBuild the data foundations of ResOne - the storage architecture and the streaming and batch pipelines that feed the platformWrite the production Python behind the platform - orchestration flows, internal services and APIs, and the tooling the rest of the team builds onTake end-to-end ownership of architecture decisions, working shoulder-to-shoulder with wet-lab and computational scientists to turn messy scientific requirements into reliable platform capabilities You Have Education & Experience Proven experience building platforms or solutions natively on AWS (e.g., ECS, ECR, EventBridge, IAM, S3, CloudWatch)Experience with event-driven architectures and large-scale data systemsTechnical Expertise Expertise in CI/CD (GitHub Actions) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)Hands-on experience with Prefect or a comparable workflow-orchestration toolComfort running databases, warehouses, and object storage as production infrastructure - provisioning, scaling, backups, and access - across relational, document, and analytical storesProficiency in Python and the software-engineering fundamentals to write reliable, maintainable systemsFluency with AI-assisted and agentic development tools, and the judgment to know where they help and where they don'tMindset & Skills Curious - you want to understand why something works, not just that it does, and you keep digging until you doDriven by impact - you want to build systems that help answer biological questions, not just move data aroundPragmatic owner - you take problems end to end, thrive in a fast-moving environment with ambiguity, and know when to build the robust thing and when to ship the simple oneEnergized by a diverse team - you learn as much from scientists and other disciplines as you contribute to your own Nice to Have Experience building a platform or comparable large, multi-component system from the ground upExperience with mass spectrometry, proteomics, genomics, or other scientific and instrument-generated dataFamiliarity with ML infrastructure or MLOps - serving models, managing training workflows, or building data/feature storesExposure to compliance or regulated environments and the data-governance practices they requireExperience working closely with scientists or other non-engineering domain experts Interested? The role is on-site at our office in central Copenhagen. Please send your resume and a short cover letter to jobs@resolute.bio, with "ResBioPlt26" in the subject line - applications without the correct subject line will be filtered out. Feel free to include your salary expectations and any relevant portfolio links, such as GitHub repositories. One thing we would like you to answer: in a few lines, tell us about the hardest infrastructure decision you have made - what you chose, what you gave up to choose it, and what you would do differently knowing what you know now. We care about the reasoning, not whether it worked out. As a company, we care about your potential, not your background. If this role excites you, do not hesitate to apply. We review applications as they come in and look forward to hearing from you! Want to learn more about us first? Visit resolute.bio to see what we are building.
