DevSecOps Engineer

Job Title : Dev Sec Ops. Location Dubai, UAE. Application Summary Domain : Oil and Gas Application type : Multi-component web application (frontend, backend APIs, visualization services) Tech Stack : Node.js, React, PM2, Apache, MS SQL Server, Azure AD SSO Operating System : Windows Server Infrastructure : Multi-server architecture with load balancing, dual-layer SSL, and inter-service API communication Deployment Model : On-premise within the client’s corporate IT environment Application Deployment & Process Management • Node.js & PM2: Deploy and manage Node.js backend services using PM2 as a process manager on Windows Server, including service registration, ecosystem configuration, log management, and process recovery • React Frontend: Deploy React single-page applications, manage build artifacts, handle environment-specific configuration files, and serve static content • Build & Release Management: Handle build handovers from the development team, maintain versioned backup and deployment folders, and execute the complete deployment workflow including pre-deployment checks, deployment, and post deployment verification Web Server & SSL Management • Apache Configuration: Configure and maintain Apache Virtual Host entries, Proxy Pass/Proxy Pass Reverse rules for routing traffic to backend services, and manage server-level configurations • SSL Certificate Management: Generate CSRs, coordinate certificate issuance with the client’s IT team, install and renew SSL certificates, and manage dual-layer SSL architecture (load balancer termination and backend server certificates) • Load Balancer Coordination: Understand URL-based routing at the load balancer layer and coordinate with the client’s IT team on routing rules and network access Database Operations • MS SQL Server: Perform scheduled database backups and restores, execute deployment scripts (schema updates, data inserts, configuration changes), and manage database connection strings across environments Environment & Integration • Azure AD SSO: Configure and maintain OAuth-based SSO integration, including callback URLs, client credentials, and tenant-specific authentication settings • Multi-Environment Management: Manage deployments across multiple client environments with environment-specific configurations and deployment records • Client IT Coordination: Serve as the primary technical liaison with the client’s IT and digital teams for server provisioning, firewall rules, network access, load balancer changes, and SSL certificate requests CI/CD & Monitoring • CI/CD Pipeline: Design and implement CI/CD pipelines to automate deployments and improve reliability • Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Monitor application health via process manager and web server logs, perform first-level troubleshooting, and coordinate with the development team for issue resolution • Documentation: Maintain deployment runbooks, configuration records, and change logs Preferred Experience (DevOps Resource) • 3+ years of DevOps or System Administration experience in enterprise environments • Experience working with oil and gas operators or similar regulated industry environments • Hands-on experience with Windows Server-based Node.js deployments • Familiarity with enterprise deployment workflows involving structured change management and client IT coordination • Strong communication skills for working across vendor, client IT, and development teams
