Web Developer

We are looking for an experienced Web Developer – WordPress/PHP to design, develop, customize, and maintain web applications and websites, with a strong focus on PHP and WordPress development. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in backend and frontend web development, custom WordPress development, API integrations, database management, security, and website performance optimization. The candidate should be comfortable developing custom solutions and troubleshooting issues across the full web development stack . Key Responsibiliti es Design, develop, customize, and maintain websites and web applications using PHP and WordPress.Develop and customize WordPress themes and plugins based on business and technical requirements.Build custom WordPress plugins and extend existing functionality using Hooks, Actions, Filters, Custom Post Types, and WordPress APIs.Develop responsive and user-friendly frontend components using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.Integrate websites and web applications with third-party platforms and REST APIs.Develop and maintain Gutenberg and custom blocks when required.Work with MySQL/SQL databases, including database operations and query optimization.Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to PHP, WordPress, plugins, themes, integrations, and browser compatibility.Optimize websites and web applications for performance, scalability, security, and reliability.Implement and maintain web development best practices and secure coding standards.Use Git for source code management and version control.Support application deployments, upgrades, testing, and production troubleshooting.Collaborate with internal teams, designers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective web solutions.Conduct testing and debugging to ensure functionality, usability, and cross-browser compatibili ty.Required Technical Ski lls Strong hands-on experience with PHP.Strong experience in WordPress development and customization.Proven experience developing custom WordPress plugins and themes.Good understanding of WordPress architecture, Hooks, Actions, Filters, and APIs.Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.Experience with MySQL / SQL databases.Experience with REST APIs and JSON-based integrations.Good understanding of responsive web development and cross-browser compatibility.Knowledge of web security principles and secure coding practices.Experience with web application and website performance optimization.Proficiency with Git and version control syst ems. Experience & Qualifica tions5+ years of overall web development experience.2–3+ years of hands-on experience with WordPress and PHP development.Proven experience developing and maintaining custom WordPress plugins and themes.Strong understanding of both frontend and backend web development.Experience working with APIs, databases, and third-party integrations.Experience troubleshooting and supporting production web applications/webs ites. Preferred SkillsExperience with Gutenberg and custom WordPress blocks.Experience with WordPress hosting, deployment, caching, and optimization.Knowledge of common web security vulnerabilities and mitigation techniques.Experience with modern JavaScript development.Familiarity with CI/CD and web application deployment practices.Experience working in Agile development environ ments.
