Java Associate Technical Architect Key requirements: • Strong Java coding experience • AWS expertise • Strong system design skills Position Details Role: Java Backend EngineerLocation: Amsterdam, NetherlandsWork Model: Hybrid (2 days/week onsite)Experience: 8+ YearsEmployment Type: We are Open for both Permanent and B2B Contractor Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot.Build and support microservices-based architectures with high availability and performance.Develop and consume RESTful APIs and event-driven services.Collaborate with frontend, DevOps, and product teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and technical decision-making.Ensure code quality through unit testing, integration testing, and engineering best practices.Troubleshoot and resolve production issues and performance bottlenecks.Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering standards and development processes.Mandatory Technical Skills 8+ years of hands-on backend development experience.Strong proficiency in Java (8+) and Spring Boot.Solid experience designing and implementing Microservices Architectures.Strong experience with REST APIs, messaging systems, and asynchronous processing.Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.Good experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, Maven/Gradle.Experience with Docker and containerized deployments.
