Founding Engineer — NarrEx Pre-seed · Remote · Meaningful equity on offer About NarrEx NarrEx is evidence infrastructure for private markets. We map what deal materials claim against what the underlying financial model actually supports — surfacing where narrative and numbers diverge, with full traceability behind every finding. The platform is built and in active use across investor evaluation, sell-side reconciliation, and buy-side financial due diligence. This is a founding engineering role with total ownership from day one. What You'll Do Own the full technical architecture and set engineering standards across the stackLead the LLM orchestration layer — extraction pipeline, deterministic scoring and matching logicDesign and maintain backend APIs and data infrastructureHarden cloud infrastructure and deployment for production-grade performanceDrive security and compliance for sensitive financial document handlingShape technical hiring as the team scales What You Bring Experience Strong backend engineering experience in production environments — 5+ years or equivalent track record building complex systemsProven ability to ship and maintain systems handling structured and unstructured data at scaleExperience with LLM APIs and structured output designStrong data modelling and API design fundamentalsBackground in fintech or enterprise SaaS is a plusGenuine interest in finance, capital markets, or transaction advisory work is a real advantage Technical Strong Python skills — FastAPI experience preferredHands-on experience with LLM APIs (Anthropic, OpenAI, or equivalent)Comfortable with Postgres, cloud infrastructure, and modern deployment workflowsExperience with document processing pipelines is a bonus Mindset You take full ownership and operate well with ambiguityYou care about correctness over speed when it mattersYou understand the difference between prototyping and hardening — and know when each applies What We Offer Salary aligned with the stage and the upside on offerMeaningful equity on favourable terms with standard vesting and cliffDirect architectural ownership from day oneA rare opportunity to be the technical co-builder of something foundational in a space structured AI hasn't properly touched yet Stage NarrEx is pre-seed.
