A Note from the CTO: Hello, I'm Eidmantas, the new CTO at HyperOps.
We are expanding our core team as we scale our Platform Engineering model.
This job is currently available for those located in Lithuania.
To support the next generation of our growth - best engineering practices, private cloud environments, AI workflows, we need strong IT engineers.
I am looking for a hybrid builder to work directly with our technical leadership to architect, standardize, and automate the infrastructure that powers our clients.
What You’ll Do This role involves a mix of software development and complex infrastructure operations:
Build & Standardize: Assist with and where possible lead the architecture of private cloud foundations and manage the complexity of multi-tenant and BYOI (Bring Your Own Infrastructure) environments.Code-First Operations: Write the tools, APIs, and automations (Python, Go, or similar) that manage our systems.
We treat infrastructure strictly as code (GitOps, IaC).Complex Problem Solving: Act as the technical escalation point for critical infrastructure (Compute, Storage, Networking).
When an L3 issue arises, your job isn't just to fix it.
You need to code a solution so it doesn't happen again.Automation & AI: Use AI and LLMs to optimize service delivery and automate complex workflows.
What We’re Looking For We are open to various levels of technical experience.
What matters most is a strong engineering mindset, the drive to solve hard problems, and the ability to make pragmatic decisions as a team.
The Dev Side: You write clean, maintainable code in at least one backend or systems language (Python, Go, or similar).
You know your way around Git, CI/CD pipelines, and APIs.The Ops Side: You have a solid grasp of Linux systems, complex networking (L2/L3, VPNs, Routing), and core system resources (Compute/Storage).
Alternatively, you have a strong background in distributed systems (Kubernetes, distributed storage engines, scalable networking or similar) and are willing to learn low-level mechanics as needed.Leadership & Communication: You operate well in a flat hierarchy and can write RFCs and ADRs to propose technical directions.
You are willing to step up, lead projects, gather requirements directly from stakeholders, and make pragmatic choices that fit the context.Experience: Hands-on experience with IaC, Containerization, and Container Orchestrators.
You also have experience with networking and hardware, whether built in a home lab or managed in your day-to-day job.
What We Offer
Salary Range: €3000 - €5000 Gross / month.Complex, Interesting Work: You will tackle complex infrastructure challenges and build scalable solutions from the ground up, rapidly leveling up your career in the process.Engineering First: You will work directly with technical leadership to define our standards.
No corporate red tape.Flexibility: We prioritize engineering output and system reliability over seat time.
We offer flexible working hours and a hybrid environment.
Fully remote arrangements (with occasional in-office days for critical events) are available upon request after the probation period.Wellbeing & Security: Health insurance, office parking and an annual bonus program for engineers who have been with us for over a year.
