UI/UX Design Engineer — Korea-Based

Location: South Korea | Korea-based candidates only We're looking for a UI/UX Design Engineer who can bring together design + frontend engineering to help us build the next generation of AI-powered creative experiences. Learn more: aurify.com About the Role We're looking for a UI/UX Design Engineer who enjoys both designing user experiences and building them. This isn't a traditional UI designer role, nor is it purely a frontend engineering position. You'll own the experience from concept to implementation — designing intuitive interfaces, creating polished interactions, and developing production-ready front-end components that bring those experiences to life. You'll work closely with our product, engineering, and AI creative teams to build fast, elegant, and highly engaging experiences for a consumer AI product. What You'll Do • Design intuitive user flows, wireframes, mockups, and high-fidelity interfaces • Translate designs into responsive, production-ready front-end experiences • Build and maintain reusable UI components and contribute to our design system • Improve UX through thoughtful interactions, animations, accessibility, and visual consistency • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to rapidly prototype and iterate on new features • Help shape the overall product experience through both design thinking and technical implementation • Stay up to date with modern UI/UX trends, frontend technologies, and AI product experiences What We're Looking For • 5+ years of experience in UI/UX design, frontend engineering, or design engineering • Strong portfolio showcasing both product design and shipped web experiences • Proficiency with Figma for UI/UX design and prototyping • Strong frontend skills in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript, and React (preferred) or another modern frontend framework • Deep understanding of responsive design, accessibility, and modern web standards • Experience creating reusable UI components and design systems • Strong eye for typography, spacing, visual hierarchy, and interaction design • Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment with rapid iteration • Based in South Korea Nice to Have • Experience with motion design and micro-interactions • Familiarity with Tailwind CSS or modern CSS frameworks • Experience building AI-powered products or consumer-facing SaaS applications • Knowledge of animation libraries such as Framer Motion or GSAP • Understanding of usability testing and UX research What Makes You Successful You care equally about how a product looks and how it works.
