Description
As a DevOps Engineer, you are responsible for designing, implementing, and operating reliable, secure, and scalable infrastructure and deployment pipelines that support the organisation’s systems and services.
The role includes ownership of day-to-day DevOps operations, automation, and platform reliability, with active contribution to operational resilience (DORA) and the organisation’s ISO certification programme.
You will work closely with development, security, and operations teams to ensure systems are resilient, compliant, and delivered efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure & Platform Engineering
· Design, implement, and maintain cloud and on-premise infrastructure platforms.
· Ensure infrastructure is scalable, highly available, and resilient, supporting critical business services.
CI/CD & Automation
· Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to enable reliable and repeatable application deployments.
· Automate build, test, deployment, and rollback processes to reduce operational risk.
· Integrate security, quality, and compliance checks into delivery pipelines.
Operational Reliability & Resilience
· Support the availability, performance, and reliability of production systems.
· Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and post-incident reviews.
· Contribute to DORA-aligned operational resilience activities, including backup, recovery, and resilience testing.
Monitoring, Logging & Observability
· Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions.
· Ensure timely detection of system issues and proactive resolution.
· Continuously improve observability to support operational stability and auditability.
Security & Access Management
· Implement secure infrastructure configurations in line with security standards and best practices.
· Support identity and access management controls, including least privilege and segregation of duties.
· Collaborate with Security Engineers to embed security controls into infrastructure and pipelines.
Change, Release & Configuration Management
· Support controlled change and release processes to minimise production risk.
· Maintain configuration standards and version control for infrastructure and deployment artefacts.
· Ensure deployments are traceable, repeatable, and auditable.
Policies, Procedures & ISO Certification
· Develop, maintain, and follow DevOps and operational procedures, runbooks, and standards.
· Actively contribute to the organisation’s ISO certification programme, including:
· implementation and operation of technical controls,
· maintenance of required documentation and evidence,
· support for internal audits and certification assessments.
· Ensure DevOps practices align with regulatory and resilience requirements, including DORA.
Documentation, Reporting & Audit Support
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for infrastructure, pipelines, and operational processes.
· Provide technical input and evidence for audits, regulatory reviews, and ISO assessments.
· Produce operational metrics related to availability, deployment, and reliability.
Continuous Improvement & Collaboration
· Identify opportunities to improve automation, reliability, and delivery efficiency.
· Stay informed about emerging DevOps tools and practices.
· Collaborate closely with development, security, and operations teams to improve end-to-end delivery.
Requirements:
· 3+ Years of experience as a DevOps or similar role
· Proficiency with Linux command-line tools, shell scripting, process management, networking, permissions, storage, and system services.
· Strong knowledge of Docker and containerised applications.
· Experience with Kubernetes, Helm, and container orchestration.
· Higher IT engineering education or university degree in math or informatics
· Experience in development in Java, Python, JavaScript, or similar language
· Experience in Infrastructure as a code approach with Terraform, or other scripting tools.
· Expertise in cloud platforms from an infrastructure standpoint MS AZURE and MS 365
· Experience in configuring popular monitoring tools like DataDog, Nagios, Grafana, Kibana or similar.
· Expertise in Operations with based on ITL with Incident-, Problem-, Change-, Security Management
· Experience in Agile development and Agile methods like Kanban style or SCRUM
· Professional level in English language (both verbal and written)
