Description
The main focus of the team is to ensure Avafin's products and teams have the least downtime possible.
To accomplish this, the team is responsible for building and maintaining the IT infrastructure and workflows both on-prem and in the cloud for all teams, reliably deploy and operate our production services and products and manage services used at Avafin.
For our technologies we focus on Infrastructure as Code and use mainly AWS, Terraform, Argo CD, Helm, Kubernetes, Cloudflare, Grafana and Proxmox.
Our IT Department, which is based in Wiener Neustadt, is part of an international Fintech company which provides short and long-term consumer loans in 5 countries within and outside of Europe.
With our own platform and websites, we provide an entirely digital lending process so we can guarantee a cashflow to the consumer within only a couple of minutes.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Design and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform), ensuring consistent and reproducible environmentsOperate ArgoCD as the primary deployment platform and guide engineering teams on GitOps best practicesBuild and standardize the internal Helm chart library and maintain Kubernetes clusters (on-prem and AWS)Manage and maintain GitHub organisation settings, repository structure, access controls, and CI/CD workflows via GitHub ActionsProvision, maintain, and migrate databases across multiple product and functional teamsManage access control across AWS, Kubernetes, and ArgoCDMaintain network infrastructure, including Zscaler, Cloudflare, and VyOSCollaborate with Backend, Frontend, Data, and AI teams to design and troubleshoot infrastructure; automate day-to-day operational tasks and share platform knowledge across the organization

5+ years of experience in a Cloud Infrastructure, Platform Engineering, or DevOps roleStrong, hands-on AWS experience — designing, operating, and optimising cloud infrastructure at scaleDeep proficiency with Terraform, Helm, and ArgoCD as core IaC and deployment toolingStrong Kubernetes experience in both on-prem and cloud environmentsFamiliarity with networking tools such as Zscaler or CloudflareComfortable working independently, taking ownership, and driving infrastructure improvements proactivelyAbility to guide and upskill engineers across the organization
