The Opportunity As a senior member of the Developer Experience function, you'll focus on removing friction from the development process and enabling engineering teams to move faster with greater confidence. You'll be responsible for designing and building the tooling, infrastructure and workflows that support developers from local development environments through to production deployment. This is a highly visible role where your work will directly influence engineering productivity across multiple teams, products and regions. What You'll Be Doing Designing and maintaining scalable build platforms and shared engineering tooling used across the organisationBuilding and improving CI/CD pipelines, deployment workflows and release automationCreating developer tooling including CLI applications, IDE integrations and containerised development environmentsDriving improvements to build performance, test reliability and deployment speedPartnering closely with software engineering teams to identify bottlenecks and streamline developer workflowsDefining and implementing meaningful engineering productivity metricsExploring emerging AI-assisted development technologies and integrating them into daily engineering practices where appropriateInfluencing engineering standards, tooling strategy and developer productivity initiatives across the wider business What We're Looking For The develop team are keen to speak with engineers who have a genuine passion for Developer Experience, Platform Engineering or Internal Developer Platforms. You'll likely bring: Strong software engineering fundamentals with experience building production-grade systemsExperience designing and scaling developer tooling, build systems or engineering platformsDeep understanding of the software development lifecycle from development through to deployment and operationsExpertise with CI/CD tooling such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins or similar platformsExperience working with containerised development environments using technologies such as DockerExposure to modern build systems and tooling including Bazel, CMake, Ninja, Poetry or comparable technologiesStrong programming ability across both scripting and compiled languagesA track record of delivering measurable productivity improvements through tooling, automation and platform enhancementsThe ability to influence stakeholders and drive technical initiatives across multiple engineering teams Why Join?
