Senior DevOps Engineer

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer with strong automation experience to join a Continuous Integration and Automation team in Geneva. This position is suited to either an experienced DevOps Engineer with a strong interest in software development, or a Software Engineer who has developed significant expertise in DevOps and infrastructure automation. The role will focus on designing, implementing and maintaining deployment pipelines, infrastructure automation and configuration management practices within a highly regulated and safety-critical environment. Key responsibilities include: Designing and maintaining CI/CD and deployment pipelinesAutomating deployment and infrastructure management processesContributing to the evolution of configuration management and orchestration practicesAnalysing technical defects and implementing sustainable, maintainable solutionsImproving the reliability, performance and maintainability of automation platformsSupporting both cloud and on-premise infrastructure environmentsDeveloping solutions that remain understandable and usable by both technical and non-technical stakeholdersCollaborating closely with software, infrastructure and operational teamsContributing to architecture and technical design decisionsSupporting occasional out-of-hours deployments when required Technical environment: GitDockerKubernetesJenkinsRed Hat Enterprise LinuxWindowsAnsible and Ansible Automation PlatformBash, PowerShell, Python and/or RubyJava and/or C++PuppetGitLab / GitHub Actions and RunnersGitOpsGitflow and monorepo environments We are looking for someone with: At least 8 years of experience in DevOps, Software Engineering or automation-related rolesAt least 2 years of experience within aerospace, finance or another highly regulated environmentStrong administrator-level knowledge of Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, RHEL and WindowsExtensive experience with Ansible, particularly around automation platform performance and scalabilityStrong scripting capabilitiesExperience with security topics across complex cloud and on-premise network environmentsSolid software architecture and system design skillsExperience working with Agile and/or Waterfall methodologiesA degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent extensive professional experience Fluent English at B2 level or above is required.
