About The Role We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced IT professional to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing IT infrastructure, ensuring the seamless delivery of IT services to support the Bundeswehr’s operational needs. Your expertise will enable us to maintain high standards of security and performance, facilitating the ongoing digital transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT service management, infrastructure, and security, with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Qualifications The successful candidate should possess a relevant university degree or comparable qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Extensive experience in managing large-scale IT infrastructures, preferably within a defense or governmental context, is essential. Strong knowledge of network architecture, cybersecurity protocols, and cloud technologies is required. Certifications such as ITIL, CISSP, or Cisco are highly desirable. Excellent communication skills, the ability to work under pressure, and a commitment to continuous learning are crucial for success in this role. Fluency in German and proficiency in English are mandatory. Responsibilities As part of your core responsibilities, you will oversee the operation and maintenance of complex IT systems, ensuring high availability and security. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new technologies and enhance existing infrastructure. Monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues promptly will be key to minimizing downtime. You will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with security standards and regulations, conducting risk assessments, and implementing necessary safeguards. Additionally, you will contribute to the development of disaster recovery plans and participate in security audits. Providing technical guidance and training to team members, as well as documenting processes and procedures, will be integral parts of your role. Your proactive approach will help identify areas for improvement and drive continuous optimization of our IT services.
