The Role We are looking for a Core Developer to join the Software Development team and contribute to the development of a high-performance trading system deployed across financial marketplaces worldwide. The Core Development team focuses on the design and development of the trading system's core order management protocol, internal messaging and processing, as well as connectivity to external trading destinations. This is a highly technical engineering role suited to someone who enjoys working with high-performance, low-latency and high-transaction systems. Key Responsibilities Design and develop components of the trading system's core order management protocolDevelop and maintain high-performance internal messaging and processing systemsBuild and enhance connectivity to external trading destinationsWork on systems operating in high-transaction and low-latency environmentsContribute to distributed and highly concurrent systemsAnalyse and optimise system and computer performanceWork closely with engineering teams in a fast-paced and dynamic environment Key Requirements Strong proficiency in modern C++ programmingExtensive experience developing in a Linux environmentStrong understanding of complex networking infrastructure, including TCP and UDPStrong understanding of computer performance analysisExperience programming in high-transaction and/or low-latency systemsExperience with distributed and/or highly concurrent systems is advantageousGenuine interest in trading and financial marketsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsComfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
