Description

The Team Our Software Engineering team builds an enterprise AI enabled engineering platform. You will work closely with product, engineering, AI and domain specialists to build and scale the platform. The Role We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with strong backend and platform engineering experience. Our technology stack includes: · Programming Languages: TypeScript, Python · Backend: Node.js, NestJS · Database & Search: PostgreSQL, pgvector · Cloud & Infrastructure: AWS, ECS Fargate, SQS, S3, CDK · AI & Workflow: LangGraph, LLM APIs, RAG and retrieval systems · Engineering Tooling: GitHub Actions, CI/CD, OpenTelemetry You will work across backend services, distributed processing, AI-enabled workflows, document processing, and cloud infrastructure. The Critical Tasks You Will Perform · Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs. · Build asynchronous and distributed processing using queues and background workers. · Design and optimise PostgreSQL databases and application data models. · Develop AI-enabled workflows and integrate large language models into production systems. · Build document processing, search, retrieval, and verification capabilities. · Design reliable systems that handle retries, failures, concurrency, and long-running processes. · Build and operate cloud-native services on AWS. · Contribute to system architecture and technical design decisions. · Improve application performance, reliability, security, observability, and cost efficiency. · Review code, mentor engineers, and contribute to engineering best practices. Qualifications · Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline. · Minimum 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering. · Strong proficiency in TypeScript, Node.js, or similar backend technologies. · Experience developing production backend systems, APIs, and services. · Strong experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL. · Experience building distributed, asynchronous, or event-driven systems. · Good understanding of scalability, reliability, performance, and technical trade-offs. · Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS. · Strong software engineering fundamentals including testing, system design, and maintainable code. · Comfortable taking ownership of features from design through production. · Able to work independently and solve complex technical problems. · Good written and spoken English communication skills.
